I am a microbiology consultant working in the UK. I did my undergraduate medical training in India. After MBBS, I worked in various specialities like - general surgery, medicine, critical care, elderly medicine and stroke medicine before joining the UK microbiology training programme in 2009. This website was made in 2012 when I was a trainee microbiologist to keep my revision materials and my collection of images of gram stains and culture plates.
The materials available for FRCPath Microbiology are limited; although the situation has improved when I took my examination, it is still far behind the exams like MRCP.
This website is an effort to help the trainees, especially those from overseas, to know of how the exam is taken and what to read.
